A rare and lovely original poster for an exhibition of local artists in Pointe a Pitre, Guadalupe. The artist, described at the time as a 'daughter of the tropics', was a Creole woman who painted in Guadalupe. Certainly an unusual event, the Society of Artists of the French Antilles seems to have only had this one exhibit. A fascinating poster, both visually and historically.
