An original vintage poster from Denmark printed in 1975.
Protected by the shadow of a suffragette, a Danish mother of two glances back at feminist protesters who are demanding for her right to "bread and roses", i.e, her "right to decide her own body, cheaper and improved children's institutions, and
free contraception," et al.
Interestingly the slogan "Bread and Roses" originated in a speech given by suffragist, Rose Schneiderman who said: "The worker must have bread, but she must have roses, too."
