From CCA's Great Ideas of Western Man series. The Container Corporation of America commissioned several works for the poster series and later donated many of the original paintings to the Smithsonian. Here a young man plays a flute to go along with Thoreau's quote from Walden: "Why should we be in such desperate haste to succeed, and in such desperate enterprises? If a man does not keep peace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."
